It was on the slopes of Mt. Van Hoevenberg, where the 1980 Olympic Games were held, was the venue for the cross-country ski pursuits in the team sprints at the Junior Nordic Combined World Championships in Lake Placid (USA).

In the women’s event, Finland’s Heta Hirvonen and Minja Korhonen held on to the lead to take gold ahead of Slovenia’s Masa Likozar Brankovic and Tia Malovrh and Germany’s Trine Goepfert and Ronja Loh. Seventh place for France’s Marion Droz-Vincent and Romane Baud, who dropped one place from the jump.

On the men’s side, Austrian favourites Paul Walcher and Andreas Gfrerer were the logical winners. Norway(Torje Seljeset, Even Leinan Lund) took silver and Japan(Kyotaro Yamazaki, Atsushi Narita) bronze.

Ninth after the jump, France’s Lubin Martin and Lilian Tréand moved up to sixth place.
