Last weekend, when the nordic combined World Cup opened in Ruka (Finland), Norway’s Jarl Magnus Riiber didn’t exactly dominate the proceedings. As proof, he won’t be wearing the yellow bib this Saturday in Lillehammer (Norway).
However, he seems to have put the work back in, as he has just crushed the gundersen ski jumping competition held in the Norwegian resort. With a jump of 101 metres, he simply killed the suspense.
In the 10km cross-country ski pursuit, he will start 44 seconds ahead of Franz-Josef Rehrl (93 metres) and 53 ahead of Thomas Rettenegger (91.5 metres). Julian Schmid (93 metres) will be at 1 min 0 and Johannes Lamparter (91 metres) at 1 min 13. The yellow bib of Vinzenz Geiger(85.5 metres), at 2 min 27, missed out completely.
As for the French, Rousseland’s Laurent Muhlethaler (88 metres) was the best and will start 1 min 47 off the lead. Marco Heinis (82.5 metres) will be at 2 min 23, Mattéo Baud (84 metres) at 2 min 28 and Edgar Vallet (82 metres) at 2 min 44.
