A few minutes after the stunning victory of the young Ingrid Laate in the women’s event, the Nordic Combined World Cup inOslo-Holmenkollen (Norway) continued mid-morning on Saturday with the men’s gundersen ski jumping competition.

King on home soil for his last competitions before the end of his career, Jarl Magnus Riiber won once again. After landing at 129.5 metres, the Norwegian got the better of Austria’s Johannes Lamparter (133 metres) and Germany’s Vinzenz Geiger (133.5 metres). In the cross-country ski pursuit, the Scandinavian will start with just a 5-second margin over his first chaser.

Laurent Muhlethaler put in another fine performance. Following in the footsteps of the World Championships in Trondheim (Norway), this time the Jurassien placed tenth after a jump from a height of 123.5 metres. Behind him, Marco Heinis (114 metres) finished fortieth, Gaël Blondeau (111 metres) forty-third, and Tom Rochat was disqualified after a faulty combination.
