In the wake of Gyda Westvold Hansen’s crushing victory in the women’s race, it was the turn of the men to take to the track in the gundersen cross-country ski pursuit at the Nordic Combined World Cup held this weekend in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway).
And in a race where everything came down to the finish, it was Vinzenz Geiger who came out on top. The German outwitted his rivals to close the gap on them just before the finish. At the finish line, he was ahead of Norway’s Jarl Magnus Riiber and Austria’s Johannes Lamparter.

On the French side, Laurent Muhlethaler lost a few places on the boards. The Jura native finished sixteenth ahead of his compatriots Gaël Blondeau, thirty-ninth, and Marco Heinis, forty-fifth.
