Nordic Combined : fourth success of the winter for Ida Marie Hagen
Starting with a lead of 1 minute 12 seconds after another demonstration jump on Thursday (the date of the pocket jump selected), Norway’s Ingrid Laate only managed to complete two of the six kilometres at the head of the gundersen on Saturday 10 January.
She was then caught by her compatriot and overall leader Ida Marie Hagen, who then escaped to a logical solo victory by a margin of 1 min 22. “I had a very good jump and I felt very strong. My skis were very good today, which didn’t spoil anything,” she commented.

As usual, another race began for Ingrid Laate, who was forced to limit the comeback of her pursuers led by American Alexa Brabec and Minja Korhonen of Finland. From 1 min 20 after 2 km, her lead shrank to 52 seconds after 3 km, 32 sec after 4 km and 12 sec after 5 km.
She was finally caught and dropped 200 metres from the line, finishing a frustrating fifth. Despite her solid blue bib as best jumper, the Norwegianhas yet to win a World Cuppodium .

After an attack a few hectometres from the line, Japan’s Yuna Kasai finished 2nd, just ahead of Minja Korhonen. Alexa Brabec was 4th, Austrian Katharina Gruber 6th, Germany’s Nathalie Armbruster 7th and American Tara Geraghty-Moats 13th. Léna Brocard, the only French competitor, was 21st at the start.
