Nordic combined: Jarl Magnus Riiber wins in style
It was an imperious Jarl Magnus Riiber who took to the jumps in Otepää (Estonia) on Friday evening. The best jumper on the Nordic combined world cup circuit used his talent and experience to claim his eighth victory of the season.
With a jump of 102.5 metres, he won by 10.1 points over Johannes Lamparter (96.5 metres) and 10.6 over Vinzenz Geiger (97 metres). Laurent Muhlethaler (93 metres) finished as the best Frenchman in twelfth place.

Among the other French competitors, Mattéo Baud (88.5 metres) was twenty-second, Marco Heinis (94.5 metres) thirty-second and Edgar Vallet (85 metres) thirty-sixth. Unfortunately, Gaël Blondeau (83.5 m) couldn’t cope. The Doubiste native, eighth in the cross-country skiing section, finished twenty-ninth.
