Nordic combined: Vinzenz Geiger wins in a thriller
It was a two-man battle in the men’s gundersen cross-country ski pursuit at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Otepää (Estonia) on Saturday afternoon. Victory was indeed contested between the two men in form at the moment: Vinzenz Geiger and Jarl Magnus Riiber. At the end of the 10km race, it was the German who came out on top in the final straight.

The chasing group, led by Jens Luraas Oftebro, worried him for a while, but it was in a sprint that the winner of the Seefeld Triple (Austria) took victory. Jarl Magnus Riiber took another second place. Jens Luraas Oftebro completes the podium.

On the French side, Mattéo Baud gained eight positions to finish sixteenth. Laurent Muhlethaler was twenty-first, Gaël Blondeau thirty-sixth, Marco Heinis forty-sixth and Edgar Vallet forty-seventh.
