The Nordic Combined World Cup in Ramsau (Austria) came to a close on Saturday, the last stage before the traditional Christmas break. And it was the women who brought the second day of competition to a close with the individual compact cross-country ski pursuit.

As on the previous day, it was once again world number one Ida Marie Hagen who raised her arms. The unrivalled Norwegian beat Germany’s Nathalie Armbruster by more than 28 seconds. Her compatriot Gyda Westvold Hansen was back in the spotlight in third place.
Outside the top 10 after the jump-off in the morning, Léna Brocard managed to make the effort needed to get back into the top ten for the day. The Frenchwoman finished ninth on the line.
