Ryota Yamamoto put in a masterclass performance this Saturday morning in the ski jumping competition of the individual Nordic combined world cup in Ramsau (Austria). With a jump of 97.5 metres, the Japanese skier took the lead, which will give him a substantial margin of 2.6 seconds in the cross-country skiing race scheduled for the afternoon.

Behind him, Austrians Martin Fritz (96 metres) and Stefan Rettenegger (92 metres) completed the top 3. Winner on Friday after a fine comeback, Jarl Magnus Riiber (92.5 metres) only finished eighth and will start 53 seconds behind the leader.

On the Blue side, Marco Heinis (90 metres) had the best jump of the morning, placing twenty-first. Laurent Muhlethaler (84.5 metres) followed close behind in twenty-fifth place. Gaël Blondeau (84.5 metres) was thirty-third and Edgar Vallet (82.5 metres) forty-eighth. Tom Rochat (76.5 metres) rounded off the French ranking in fifty-sixth place.
