Early in the middle of the day on Thursday, the 2024/2025 nordic combined World Cup kicked off in Ruka (Finland) with the reserve jumps. Given the tricky weather conditions expected over the weekend, it was decided to run two of them.
In Saturday’s pocket jump gundersen, Mattéo Baud (126.5 metres) finished a superb sixth, while Laurent Muhlethaler (17.5 metres) was twentieth, Edgar Vallet (81.5 metres) fifty-fourth and Marco Heinis (80 metres) fifty-sixth.

In Friday’s individual compact round, Mattéo Baud (121 metres) was eleventh, Laurent Muhlethaler (126.5 metres) thirteenth, Edgar Vallet (97.5 metres) fortieth and Marco Heinis (87.5 metres) forty-second. Franz-Josef Rehrl (140.5 metres) and Jarl Magnus Riiber (144 metres) won the two jumps.
