Nordic Combined : Johannes Lamparter goes it alone
On Saturday night in Finland, the Gundersen pursuit of the Nordic Combined World Cup in Ruka (Finland) took place. Austrian Johannes Lamparter took another victory after his success on Friday in the compact jump.

The 24-year-old combined athlete started in the lead and rode a truly solo race. It was the nineteenth World Cup victory of his career. Once again, Germany’s Julian Schmid, who started third, took second place, while Austria’s Stefan Rettenegger, who started with bib number 2, completed the podium.

In the French camp, Marco Heinis put in a very fine performance. Starting with bib number 9, he managed to maintain his position throughout the 10-kilometre cross-country race. The result was the best World Cup result of his career, bettering his previous benchmark of eighteenth place, already achieved in Ruka in 2023.

Behind him, Laurent Muhlethaler took a solid sixteenth place. Edgard Vallet was twenty-fourth, Gaël Blondeau thirty-seventh, just ahead of Mattéo Baud.
