09:44. The combined athletes had a date this Sunday morning for the 10km cross-country mass-start, the third and final event of this Nordic combined world cup in Ruka (Finland).
Austria’s Stefan Rettenegger won the race in a hard-fought sprint, ahead of Norway’s Aleksander Skoglund and Germany’s Julian Schmid. In the sprint, he beat Norway’s Aleksander Skoglund and Germany’s Julian Schmid. Austrian Johannes Lamparter, winner of the first two races of the winter, took seventh place at 21 sec 2.

On the French side, Edgar Vallet was the best cross-country skier, finishing 21st at 43 sec 2. Behind him, Gaël Blondeau was 30th, followed by Mattéo Baud 32nd, Laurent Muhlethaler 36th and Marco Heinis 38th.
The ski jumping competition is scheduled for 1pm, but is currently threatened by the omnipresent wind in Ruka.
