Following the suspension of jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang, as well as three members of the Norwegian ski jumping team, it is now the turn of Truls Johansen, a member of the Norwegian Nordic combined team’s technical staff, to be suspended by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
On Wednesday, the FIS announced in a press release that Truls Johansen was officially the subject of an investigation by the FIS Independent Ethics and Compliance Office and that he had been provisionally suspended pending the investigation and judgment procedure.
The investigation relates to the team competition at the World Championships in Trondheim (Norway). Joergen Graabak was disqualified for violating the competition rules relating to the equipment in his ski bindings. The FIS Independent Ethics and Compliance Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the Norwegian team’s submission of the equipment for inspection after contesting the disqualification.
