Nordic combined: Ukraine’s Karina Kozlova wins at last
After two days of competition dominated by the Slovenians, Ukraine’s Karina Kozlova this time resisted the comeback of her rivals in the gundersen pursuit at the Nordic Combined Continental Cup in Schonach (Germany). The winner of the individual compact and Express Race, Slovenia’s Masa Likozar Brankovic, took second place ahead of her compatriot Tia Malovrh.
Fourth after the jump, France’s Marion Droz Vincent rounded off not only the top five, but also a good weekend with a podium finish. Anaëlle Paris, eighth at the start of the pursuit, lost five places to finish thirteenth. Further back, Laly Pingat crossed the line in twenty-third place, while Loa Jeantet once again failed to start after her jump.

In the men’s race, the Norwegians were on top form. Jens Dahlseide Kvamme won ahead of his compatriots Torje Seljeset, Even Leinan Lund and Andreas Ottesen. Only Germany’s Félix Brieden came between them to deny the Scandinavians a six-peat.

After a good jump, Lubin Martin started twenty-second. He managed to climb back into the top 15 to take a fine twelfth place. It was a more complicated day for Tom Rochat and Lilian Tréand, who crossed the line in 39th and 47th place respectively. Simon Pagnier was disqualified in the ski jumping event.
