To kick off the World Cup weekend in Seefeld (Austria), the women were treated to a 5km mass-start on Friday lunchtime. Norway’s Ida Marie Hagen was the logical winner.
The leader of the overall World Cup standings, unbeaten this season, is ahead of her compatriot Marte Leinan Lund by 12 seconds 2 seconds and Germany’s Nathalie Armbruster by 19 seconds 5 seconds. Léna Brocard is the best French rider, taking ninth place at 56 seconds 6 seconds.

For her first World Cup start, Marion Droz-Vincent from Doubt was twenty-second at 2 min 6.

Romane Baud was twenty-eighth at 2 min 16. These time gaps will be converted into points for the afternoon’s ski jumping competition.
