The Seefeld Triple (Austria) kicked off this Friday lunchtime with the 10km cross-country mass-start. Victory went to Norway’s Jarl Magnus Riiber, just a few days after announcing his retirement at the end of the winter.
He won a race that settled down in the final hectometres. A group of thirteen competitors could still have hoped to win with 200 metres to go. The yellow bib was joined on the podium by his compatriots Jens Luuras Oftebro and Joergen Graabak. Laurent Muhlethaler finished as the best Frenchman in fifteenth place (+26 sec 0).

Among the other French riders, Mattéo Baud was eighteenth at 41 sec 5, Gaël Blondeau nineteenth at 41 sec 8, Edgar Vallet twenty-seventh at 49 sec 5 and Marco Heinis forty-first at 1 min 31.
These time differences will be converted into points for the afternoon’s ski jumping competition.
