Nordic combined: Jarl Magnus Riiber in control
A few days after announcing his retirement from the sport at the end of the season, Jarl Magnus Riiber won the mass start of the legendary triple in Seefeld (Austria) on Friday. Leading at the end of the cross-country race, the boss of the world Nordic combined showed great mastery on the springboard.

With a jump of 109 metres, he beat Austria’s Johannes Lamparter, who had a superb jump of 110 metres, by 8.0 points. On home soil, the Tyrolean scored his fourth podium of the winter, just ahead of Jens Luuras Oftebro (105.5 metres) in third place.

On the French side, Laurent Muhlethaler (101 metres) moved up four places to eleventh. Mattéo Baud (99 metres) enters the top 20 in twentieth place. Marco Heinis (95.5 metres) and Gaël Blondeau (94.5 metres) tied for thirtieth, just ahead of Edgar Vallet (89 metres) in thirty-second place.
