“I’ve always had a lot of fun. The most important thing to learn is that you have to do what you like and not what other people say. For me, that was the right path. My biggest thanks go to my family: whatever happened, they always supported me. They took care of me physically and mentally,” reads a press release from theGerman Ski Association.

Svenja Wuerth won the gold medal in the mixed team ski jumping competition at the 2017 World Championships in Lahti (Finland) with Carina Vogt, Markus Eisenbichler and Andreas Wellinger.
In the ski jumping World Cup, her best result was third place in Ljubno (Slovenia) in 2017. In Nordic combined, the 31-year-old German’s best performance in the World Cup remains an eighth-place finish. She has finished in the top 10 on eleven occasions.
