Nordic combined: Marion Droz-Vincent and Romane Baud alongside Léna Brocard in the French A team
One of the big stories to emerge from the unveiling of the French Nordic combined team squads for the 2025/2026 training season was the introduction, for the first time, of a women’s A team.
Léna Brocard from the Dauphiné region, who had previously been on her own at the highest level, has now been integrated into the men’s group, joined by the promising Marion Droz-Vincent and Romane Baud, who have been making steady progress over the last few months. Anaëlle Paris is in Group B.

“There’s a real group being created, with a coach dedicated to this group, Samuel Guy, confirms Etienne Gouy, director of the French teams, to Nordic Magazine. They’ll be doing most of their training together with the boys, except when the boys go on the big jumps. The idea, with this mixed group, is to reproduce what we’ve put in place for jumping.”
No Olympic Games next winter for Les Bleues
“I’ve discussed it with Léna [Brocard] because there’s a generation difference with the girls who are coming up, he continues. Training with the two youngsters will be great for her! Marion [Droz-Vincent] has real strengths in cross-country skiing and Romane [Baud] in ski jumping. It’s always good to push yourself to the top with three people rather than on your own.”

While the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games will unfortunately not be held next winter for the French, an initial decision on the inclusion of women’s Nordic combined in the Olympic programme in 2030 is due to be taken in September.
“The feeling is quite positive, but you never know with the IOC,” says Etienne Gouy, who is nonetheless rather cautious on this hot topic.
