Nordic combined: Norway set their fans alight
Following the women’s mass-start, brilliantly won by Japan’s Yuna Kasai, the mixed team competition is on the programme this Friday at the Nordic combined world championships in Trondheim (Norway).
At midday, local combos Ida Marie Hagen (95 metres), Jens Luraas Oftebro (99.5 metres), Jarl Magnus Riiber (107 metres) and Gyda Westvold Hansen (102 metres) dominated the proceedings. They outclassed the competition in this round of jumping and will have the honour of leading the cross-country ski pursuit scheduled for the afternoon.

Japan with the Kasai twins will be 14 seconds behind, Germany 28 seconds, Austria 45 seconds and the USA with a great Alexa Brabec at 1 min 18.
Seventh place for Les Bleus
The French team, competing in this format for the first time at the World Championships, took seventh place, 1 min 52 seconds off the lead, but only 34 seconds behind the top 5.

In detail, Marion Droz-Vincent jumped 82 metres, Gaël Blondeau, who replaced Mattéo Baud, who was not 100% fit, at short notice, jumped 87 metres, Laurent Muhlethaler 94.5 metres and Léna Brocard 87.5 metres.
