Nordic skiing: Falun wins bid to host the 2028 World Junior and U23 Championships

9:55. At the beginning of October, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) announced that the 2026 and 2027 Nordic Junior and U23 World Ski Championships would be held in Trondheim (Norway) and Shchuchinsk (Kazakhstan) respectively.

In the last few days, the FIS has (already) made the awarding of the 2028 event official, with a global communication campaign for the World Junior Championships in all its disciplines. The competition will be held in Falun (Sweden) in the winter of 2027/2028, one year after the senior World Championships.
