Biathlon | Nordic skiing: the CNOSF heads to the Var for its traditional pre-Olympic course
This year, the preparation of the French biathlon and Nordic ski teams will be different from usual, because with just a few months to go to the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan/Cortina, one step is compulsory: participation in the pre-Olympic gathering organised by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF).
Cancelled in 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic, it is back on the programme this year and will take place, as the CNOSF confirmed to Nordic Magazine, from 26 to 30 May on the Presqu’île de Giens (Var).

As in 2017, when the event was held in La Londe-les-Maures (Var), this week of team-building will bring together no fewer than 200 athletes from the various Winter Olympic disciplines.
The programme for this week in the Var region will be varied, with sporting activities, moments of sharing and cohesion, discussion sessions and plenary sessions. These few days promise to be full of good times for the athletes taking part.
