On Friday, Swiss-Ski announced a number of changes for next season. Christian Raimund has been appointed new head coach of the women’s ski jumping team.
Until then, the German had been coaching the up-and-coming Swiss jumpers and combined athletes for 18 months. He will take over from Roger Kamber, who has decided to step down.

On the Nordic combined side, former combined racer Tim Hug is to become a full-time coach at Swiss-Ski. From 1 July, the winner of a World Cup race – in 2014 in Tchaikovsky (Russia) – will be responsible for developing the next generation of Swiss Nordic combined specialists. In particular, he will be accompanying the team to the Continental Cup and the FESA Cup.
“I am delighted that Swiss-Ski is giving Nordic combined a new chance in Switzerland and that I can help to achieve the objectives. I am highly motivated to take up this major challenge and will do my utmost to share my personal experience and to coach these young, ambitious athletes, both men and women, to the best of my ability,” said the new coach, Tim Hug, in a press release.
