At a time when the World Championships in Trondheim (Norway) are proving to be a real money pit. Aasne Havnelid, Chairman of the Board of Trondheim 2025 AS – the company organising the event – has declared that she will waive the remuneration to which she is entitled as Chairman. The remuneration for 2025 amounts to 250,000 kronor, or around €21,700.
“It has become a value choice that has become important to me. I will not make money at the expense of creditors. We now have to work together to find the best possible solution for them. This is serious and very sad. I take responsibility for it as Chairman of the Board,” Aasne Havnelid told NRK.

On Wednesday, the organisers of the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim (Norway) sent a letter to their creditors stating, among other things, that they “ would probably not be able to pay all their debts”.
