2026 Olympics : “The 10-kilometre long-distance race inspired me a lot”, reveals Quentin Fillon Maillet
Friday 13 February will go down as a banner day for French Nordic skiing. Early in the afternoon, Villardien Mathis Desloges won his second Olympic silver medal in the individual skate event at the Milan/Cortina Olympic Games, held at Tesero (Italy).
A few minutes later, Jura biathlete Quentin Fillon-Maillet in turn delivered a perfect sprint in Antholz (Italy). After a demonstration of mastery, he won his fourth Olympic gold medal, just moments after following the performance of his cross-country compatriot.

“The 10-kilometre long-distance race really inspired me. Well done to Mathis [Desloges] because he ran an exceptional race, it was very inspiring. I told myself that I was going to try to be as fast as him on skis to win the race today and I’m delighted for France,” revealed the biathlete in the Chalet Club programme on Europsort.
