18:54. On Saturday in Antholz (Italy), Océane Michelon became the runner-up in the Olympic biathlon sprint. This result is a reminder that in 2018, the Frenchwoman had already been crowned French U16 champion in the discipline. That year, in the boys’ category, the national title went to…. Mathis Desloges.

The cross-country skier from Villard-de-Lans (Isère) – then a member of the Dauphiné committee – who is now a double Olympic vice-champion in cross-country skiing, practised biathlon alongside cross-country skiing. During the 2017/2018 season, the two athletes enjoyed a string of successes and were regularly on the podium at national championships.
