2026 Olympics: a historic Wednesday 11 February for the French Olympic team
Wednesday 11 February was a historic day for the French team at the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. With four medals won, it effectively equalled its daily record set on 18 and 20 February 2014 in Sochi (Russia).
Above all, with two Olympic titles won, you have to go back to 14 February 2010 to find such a performance. 26 years ago, it was Vincent Jay (biathlon sprint) and Jason Lamy Chappuis (Nordic combined small jump gundersen) who won gold.

This time, the gold medals were won by Julia Simon (individual biathlon) and the duo Guillaume Cizeron/Laurence Fournier Beaudry (figure skating ice dance). The other two podium places went to Lou Jeanmonnot (silver in the individual biathlon) and Perrine Laffont (bronze in the moguls).
