Cross-country skiing: Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo best time
A few minutes after the women, it was the turn of the cross-country skiers to compete in the classic sprint qualifier for the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. Les Bleus achieved a perfect record. Jules Chappaz, who was ill last week, told us that he approached this race with “confidence “. And he did just that. Second on this same track last month during the Tour de Ski, he set the third fastest time in the qualifying round.

He will be joined by three other Frenchmen in the final phase. Bornandin Lucas Chanavat was tenth, Richard Jouve 18th and Théo Schely 22nd.

Up front, Norway’s Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo set the fastest time, ahead of American Ben Ogden. Czech rider Jiri Tuz was fourth, just ahead of Norway’s Harald Oestberg Amundsen. Italy’s Federico Pellegrino was 15th, Sweden’s Edvin Anger 18th and Norway’s Erik Valnes 20th.

On the other hand, qualification eluded the American Gus Schumacher(31st), the Austrian Benjamin Moser(33rd) and the Russian Saveliy Korostelev(35th).
