11:44. The inaugural edition of the Loop One Festival in Munich (Germany) opened late on Saturday morning with the first of three para biathlon races. In a mixed relay reserved for the seated category, it was the favourites who came out on top, with the pair of Brazilian Aline Dos Santos Rocha and Kazakhstan’s Yerbol Khamitov winning.
With just two errors in four shots, they beat Germany’s Andrea Eskau and Great Britain’s Scott Meenagh (10/20) by 54 sec 5. Germany’s Anja Wicker and Spain’s Higinio Rivero Fernandez (13/20) are third, more than 2 minutes behind.
