At midday on Saturday, the sprint pursuit qualifiers for the 2025 Para Biathlon World Championships were taking place in Pokljuka (Slovenia). In this two-stage event, the qualifying round went well for two of the three French competitors.
In the standing category, Bornandin Benjamin Daviet (10/10) took third place 11.04 seconds off the lead, while Karl Tabouret (10/10) was fifth at 20.20 seconds.

In the qualification for the visually impaired, on the other hand, Anthony Chalençon (guided by Florian Michelon) crashed out three times and finished in eighth place, 37 sec 34 behind the leader. He will still take part in the final, but will have to make up time to reach the podium.
