Para biathlon: Benjamin Daviet takes silver in Pokljuka
He has taken his revenge. On Saturday afternoon, Bornandin para-biathlete Benjamin Daviet finished fourth in the sprint pursuit at the World Championships in Pokljuka (Slovenia). Frustrated by this result, he exacted his revenge in the individual event on Sunday lunchtime.

In this 12.5km race, which included four shots (with a 1 minute penalty for errors), the Haut-Savoyard simply scored 20/20. Benjamin Daviet, who was also very good on his cross-country skis, was beaten only by the Canadian leader in his category, Mark Arendz. With the perfect shot, Arendz won the title by 26 sec 9.

On the third step of the podium was Ukrainian Grygorii Vovchynskyi (19/20). It should be noted that Karl Tabouret did not take part in this event in order to rest up for the para-cross-country skiing World Championships scheduled for next week in Toblach (Italy).

In the women’s event, Canada’s Natalie Wilkie (19/20) won the individual world title , beating China’s Zhao Zhiqing (18/20) by 20.5 seconds and Ukraine’s Oleksandra Kononova (19/20) by 26.6 seconds.
