Para biathlon: time for the World Championships in Slovenia
It’s time to hand out the world medals in para biathlon. This week, the 2025 World Championships are being held in Pokljuka (Slovenia). Under the guidance of coaches Vincent Duchêne and Anaïs Bescond, Karl Tabouret, Benjamin Daviet and Anthony Chalençon (guided by Florian Michelon) will represent France.

The week’s programme includes three events for the three categories represented (sitting, standing, visually impaired). Starting on Thursday, there will be 7.5km sprints , while Saturday will be reserved for sprint chases and Sunday for 12.5km individual races.

- 10.15am: Men’s 7.5km sprint, seated
- 10.30 am: women’s 7.5 km sprint, seated
- 12.00: men’s 7.5 km standing sprint
- 12.15pm: women’s 7.5 km standing sprint
- 12.30pm: 7.5 km sprint for visually impaired men
- 12.45pm: 7.5km sprint for visually impaired women
Saturday 8 February
- 11.15am: Men’s seated sprint pursuit qualifiers
- 11.30am: women’s seated sprint pursuit qualifiers
- 11:45: women’s standing sprint pursuit qualifiers
- 12:00: men’s standing sprint pursuit qualifiers
- 12.15pm: Women’s visually impaired sprint pursuit qualifiers
- 12.30pm: Men’s visually impaired sprint pursuit qualifiers
- 1.55pm: Men’s seated sprint pursuit final
- 2.15pm: women’s seated sprint pursuit final
- 2.35pm: women’s standing sprint pursuit final
- 2.55pm: Women’s visually impaired sprint pursuit final
- 3.10pm: men’s standing sprint pursuit final
- 3.25pm: visually impaired men’s sprint pursuit final
Sunday 9 February
- 10.15 am: Men’s 12.5 km seated individual
- 10.40 am: Women’s individual 12.5 km seated
- 12.45pm: Men’s individual 12.5 km standing
- 1.00 pm: women’s individual 12.5 km standing
- 1.45pm: Individual 12.5km visually impaired men
- 2.00 pm: individual 12.5 km visually impaired women
