Para-cross-country skiing: Les Bleus end the World Cup with a top 10 finish
This Sunday, the final of the 2025/2026 para-cross-country skiing World Cup, organised in Jakuszyce (Poland), came to a close with the classic 10km mass-starts . In this format, French up-and-comers Anaïs Delavier (sixth) and Cléo Blanc (seventh) posted solid results.
At the front, it was American Sydney Peterson who won, ahead of Germany’s Kathrin Marchand and American Danielle Aravich. On the men’s side, Germany’s Sebastian Marburger won ahead of Poland’s Witold Skupien and his compatriot Maximilian Weidner.
In the visually impaired category, France’s Maxime Gayet (guided by Alexis Bernard) came ninth in a race won by the USA’s Jake Adicoff (guided by Peter Wolter) ahead of Finland’s Inkki Inola (guided by Reetu Inkila) and Norway’s Thomas Oxaal (guided by Geir Lervik).
Czech rider Simona Bubenickova (guided by David Srutek) put in another fine performance on the women’s side, with Germany’s Linn Kazmaier (guided by Florian Baumann) and Poland’s Aneta Kobryn (guided by Bartlomiej Puto) on the podium.
Although the women’s race did not take place due to a lack of participants, Italian rider Giuseppe Romele took his third victory of the week, ahead of Ukrainian rider Pavlo Bal and American Joshua Sweeney.
