Para cross-country skiing: silver for Anthony Chalençon and Florian Michelon
On Friday, the para-cross-country skiing world championships in Toblach (Italy) came to a close with a 20km individual skate. Anthony Chalençon and his guide Florian Michelon put in a great performance in this long solo exercise. After a frustrating open relay, the French duo took the silver medal.

As a result, Les Bleus have won their second world medal of the winter , following silver in the para biathlon sprint last week in Pokljuka (Slovenia). Sweden’s Zebastian Modin (guided by Emil Joensson Haag) came third.

China dominated the standing event with a hat-trick of titles, including Wang Chenyang, silver medallist Liu Xiaobin and bronze medallist Qiu Minyang.

Bornandin Benjamin Daviet, who was in the running after a strong finish, had to settle for fifth place.
