Para cross-country skiing: Les Bleus go for the medal in Trondheim
Wednesday morning saw the start of the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim (Norway) with the semi-finals of the para cross-country sprints.
Frenchmen Karl Tabouret and Benjamin Daviet, competing in the standing category after some fine qualifying on Tuesday, won their ticket to the grand final scheduled for midday. Tabouret came second in his heat, while Daviet took third place.

They will be up against Taiki Kawayoke, the great favourite, Sebastian Marburger, Kjartan Haugen and Yoshihiro Nitta for the world medals.
