Para nordic skiing: Chloé Pinto wants to return to the world championships
This Thursday, the 2024/2025 Nordic para-ski world cup kicks off in Vuokatti (Finland). Benjamin Daviet, Karl Tabouret and Anthony Chalençon(with his guide Florian Michelon) will be defending the French colours, but these races are even more important for Chloé Pinto from Beaufort.
She will have to show a sufficiently high level of performance to become eligible for selection for the Worlds in February. Last year, following a difficult summer in which she almost gave up, she didn’t manage to do so. “This will be a Finnish tour with a lot at stake for me”, she tells Nordic Magazine.

“For the selections, there is a minimum number of points to be respected in order to be selected. In concrete terms, compared to last year, they have to gain time over their opponents in order to win, reveals Vincent Duchêne, the coach of the French team. With the work we’ve done in preparation, it’s achievable.”
Should she fail to shine at these Vuokatti competitions, Chloé Pinto, who suffers from hemiplegia, will have a catch-up session in January at the World Cup in Val di Fiemme (Italy), at the venue that will host the Paralympic Games in March 2026.
