Rollerski: national title day for Forézienne Liv Coupat

While her little sister Annette Coupat had just been crowned French U20 sprint skate champion a few minutes earlier, Liv Coupat did the same in the senior category. Also a U23, she even won two gold medals in one go in the streets of Autrans (Isère), the scene this weekend of the 2025 French roller skating championships.

Despite the rain and wind, it was the Forézienne, second in the qualifying round, who outshone the competition to retain the title she won in La Bresse (Vosges) a year ago. First in the first two rounds, she also crossed the finish line first in the final, ahead of Méaudra’s Justine Gaillard, who won silver in both the senior and U20 categories, and Féclaz’s Daphné Patois, who also won silver in both categories.

Léonie Perry from Bresse was fourth, Julie Pierrel from Bornand was fifth and Juliette Ducordeau from Villardière was sixth. Léna Quintin, Flora Dolci and Mélissa Gal were eliminated in the semi-finals, as were Delphine Claudel, Margot Tirloy, Cloé Pagnier and France Pignot in the quarter-finals.
