Rollerski: Annette Coupat takes the crown (again) in Autrans
Annette Coupat from Forézienne had a perfect weekend in Autran at the 2025 French Rollerski Championships. Already golden on Saturday afternoon in the skate sprint, the cross-country skater from Le Bessat Sport d’Hiver also won the 20km mass-start classic on Sunday.
However, going into the final, it was Montblanc’s Anouchka Neuville who seemed to be heading for the title. But she crashed out and had to settle for fourth place at the finish line. Annette Coupat took advantage to win the race, beating silver-haired Agathe Margreither and tanned Marguerite Couval in the final.

“It’s really cool to do the double! I was a bit down after yesterday’s race [on Saturday]. It was a wait-and-see race, even if there were occasional jolts. The second lap was quite fast, but we were really looking at each other at the end of the third [and final] lap. It came down to the end,” she explained to Nordic Magazine. Anouchka [Neuville] crashed in front of us and we managed to avoid her. It was still a great day!
Pom’ Rives, at 7 sec 0, rounded off the top 5, then Romane Nappey, Lucile Coutaz, Clémence Valette, Louise Marguet and Marie Demor finished in the day’s top ten, all within 30 seconds of each other.
