21:14. On Friday, the first day of the Schutzenski Festival of rollerskiing took place in Soldier Hollow (USA). The biggest American roller-ski competition kicked off with an individual 10km classic.
First, the men’s race was won by Luke Jager. Leading at all intermediates, he took the win by a margin of 12 sec 7 over Gus Schumacher. Canadian Rémi Drolet was third at 33.5 seconds, with Peter Wolter, Hunter Wonders and Brian Bushey following under a minute behind.
On the women’s side, Rosie Brennan, a great classic specialist, dominated the competition. She finished 19 seconds 7 seconds ahead of Jessie Diggins and 53 seconds 5 seconds ahead of Sweden’s Tilde Baangman, while Norway’s Guro Jordheim finished just off the podium at 55 seconds 4 seconds.
