Late on Saturday afternoon, Timi Zajc (222 and 233 metres) won the first competition of the ski flying world cup in Oberstdorf (Germany). The Slovenian scored his first success of the season with a superb second jump.
He finished ahead of Norway’s Johann Andre Forfang (221.5 and 235 metres), who won the qualifying race on Friday. His compatriot Domen Prevc (217 and 231.5 metres) completed the podium.

Courchevel’s Valentin Foubert (193 and 187 metres) took twenty-seventh place in the event.
