17:57. The individual competition for the 2026 World Ski Flying Championships kicked off this Friday afternoon on the giant ski jump inOberstdorf (Germany). The first two jumps of the four to be contested were completed.
Unsurprisingly, despite a sluggish first run, Slovenia’s Domen Prevc (204 and 224.5 metres) currently leads the standings by 14.0 points from Japan’s Ren Nikaido (230.5 and 224.5 metres) and 21.9 points from Norway’s Marius Lindvik (226.5 and 212 metres). Saturday afternoon sees the last two heats.

The only Frenchman to qualify for this World Championships competition, Valentin Foubert from Courchevel (196.5 and 187.5 metres) is currently twenty-seventh.
