12:01. Recent winner of the Raw Air, Germany’s Andreas Wellinger is finishing the 2024/2025 season on a high. This Thursday morning, during the last qualifier of the winter season on the giant ski jump in Planica (Slovenia), he showed this once again by flying 227 metres.
In a very long heat due to the difficult aerological conditions, he won ahead of his compatriots Pius Paschke (226 metres) and Markus Eisenbichler (238.5 metres). Domen Prevc (224.5 metres), Piotr Zyla (227 metres), Kamil Stoch (234.5 metres), Timi Zajc (220.5 metres), Stefan Kraft (225 metres), Pawel Wasek (214 metres) and Daniel Tschofenig (215.5 metres) rounded out the top 10.
Thirty-first-placed Valentin Foubert from Courchevel, at 199 metres, easily secured his place for the competition scheduled for Friday afternoon.
