Ski jumping : Casey Larson puts away the skis
American ski jumper Casey Larson has announced his retirement from competitive ski jumping. The 26-year-old jumper was a four-time national champion and was twice selected for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang (South Korea) in 2018 and Beijing (China) in 2022. He also took part in five world championships.

“Being an athlete representing the US Stifel and USA Ski Jumping teams, and remembering all that we have achieved, makes me extremely proud,” said Casey Larson in a statement from his federation, who was recognisable on the circuit by his iconic moustache. The jumper explained that he was retiring “with all [his] love for [his] teammates, [his] coaches and [his] team”.
Casey Larson ‘s best World Cup result came in Rasnov (Romania) in 2023, when he finished eighteenth. In August, he took part in the Summer Grand Prix in Courchevel (Savoie).
