Just a few days after the appointment of Rune Velta as head coach of the Norwegian national ski jumping team, theNorwegian Ski Association has revealed two new names to be added to the Scandinavian team’s list of coaches for the winter of 2025/2026.
Over the next few days, Anders Fannemel and Sigurd Soeberg will be working alongside the kingdom’s jumpers as they attempt to recover from the wetsuit scandal that came to light during the Trondheim Worlds (Norway) in March.

“Anders did a solid job in difficult circumstances at the end of last season. He knows what it takes to reach the top as an athlete, and he showed early on that he has coaching qualities that will be very useful to Norway in the future,” explains Jan-Erik Aalbu, the team’s sporting director. Sigurd is a versatile resource who will contribute to both the combinations and the training. We have a small but dedicated team that can fill many roles.
