17:30. It was a long day for the women ski jumpers at the Falun (Sweden) World Cup on Friday. While the qualifying round had to be cancelled altogether due to poor weather conditions, the first round of the competition, contested at 65, was disrupted for the same reason.

But all that didn ‘t stop Japan’s Nozomi Maruyama (94 and 91 metres), who has been in superb form since the start of the winter, from winning again.

Above the field, she beat Slovenia’s Nika Prevc (87 and 95 metres) by 18.5 points and Austria’s Lisa Eder (91 and 90.5 metres) by 20.3 points. Anna Odine Stroem (90 and 93 metres), Nika Vodan (88.5 and 96.5 metres) and Heidi Dyhre Traaserud (89 and 89.5 metres) follow.

For the French team, the drought continues with Franc-Comtoise Joséphine Pagnier (78 metres) in forty-ninth place and Chamonix’s Emma Chervet (69 metres) in fifty-fifth.
