Ski jumping: Stefan Kraft takes the lead of the Tour
On Saturday afternoon, in front of 22,500 ski jumping fans, the third round of the 73rd Four Hills Tournament took place in the cauldron of the Bergisel in Innsbruck (Austria).
In front of their home crowd, the boys from the Wünderteam rose to the occasion as Jan Hoerl (134 metres), Stefan Kraft (131.5 metres) and Daniel Tschofenig (32.5 metres), leader of the Vierschanzentournee after the German competitions, were separated by 0.9 points after one jump.

It was a fireworks display in the final heat. In the end, with 131.5 metres, it was the indefatigable Stefan Kraft who won and took command of the Tour. With 134 metres, Jan Hoerl was beaten by 1.4 points, while Daniel Tschofenig, with 132.5 metres, was third by 10 points.

Of particular note was another fine performance by Switzerland’s Gregor Deschwanden (126 and 129 metres), who finished fourth in the competition… and in the overall standings of the Four Hills Tournament behind the Austrian armada.
Valentin Foubert loses his KO system and misses out on the final round
For Frenchman Valentin Foubert (118 metres), the competition did not go as hoped. Although he had dominated his KO system opponent Clemens Aigner (119 metres) in the trial vault, he lost the first round.

Not drafted, he has to make do with thirty-ninth place and will not be taking part in the eight jumps of this 2024/2025 Tour.
