The day after her federation announced her withdrawal from the rest of the ski jumping season following a fall in Sapporo (Japan), Norway’s Silje Opseth spoke out on her Instagram account.
“I have to wear a splint for the next six weeks and, from next week, I’ll start physiotherapy, but the knee is quite stable and I don’t need an operation,” she reassures us.
“I’m disappointed, sad and frustrated that it has to end like this, especially when I think about the World Championships on home soil. I know it’s going to be difficult to follow it on television. I’m going to fight and come back stronger than ever,” she concludes.
