19:55. While the snow has already fallen in Sapporo (Japan), the Japanese ski jumping championships took place in summer mode this Sunday on the small HS100 hill.
With two weeks to go before the start of the World Cup, Junshiro Kobayashi (100 and 99 metres) won the men’s gold medal ahead of Sakutaro Kobayashi (97 and 98 metres) and Tomofumi Naito (95 and 94.5 metres).
Noriaki Kasai (84 and 87 metres), who will start the season in the continental cup, finished sixteenth.
On the women’s side, Yuki Ito (99 and 91.5 metres) was crowned champion, while Nozomi Maruyama (96.5 and 89.5 metres) took silver and Sara Takanashi (83n5 and 94.5 metres) bronze.
