At the end of last week, 20-year-old Julien Gay from Haut-Savoie was in Michigan to compete in the Continental Cup ski jumping competition at Iron Mountain (USA).
Present on the other side of the Atlantic outside the federal framework,he competed in all four of the weekend’s competitions. Thirty-third, thirty-sixth and thirty-second, he finally managed to get into the points on Sunday in the final competition. With jumps of 110.5 and 106.5 metres, he finished twenty-ninth and thus scored his first continental cup points.
