20:38. On Friday evening, in the fog, qualifying for the first men’s ski jumping World Cup competition in Klingenthal (Germany) was a mere formality for France’s Valentin Foubert.
The jumper from Courchevel (Savoie), who has three top 10 finishes on the world circuit, took sixteenth place with a jump from 131 metres. He qualified easily, while Jules Chervet (116.5 metres), in fiftieth place, just missed out. Enzo Milesi (108 metres), sixty-first, was eliminated.

Germany’s Philipp Raimund (139.5 metres) won this qualifying heat ahead of Domen Prevc (135.5 metres) and Ryoyu Kobayashi (137.5 metres).
